In keeping with our community feel approach

We've come to a decision on how we will do future conferences. Those of you who have registered or have looked into registering have seen that the price is $360.00, the conference is 360|Flex and the company is 360|Conferences. Notice a trend? Well, our next change follows the trend. You can read about it here, but the jist is this.

Future 360Conferences events will be limited to 360 attendees. As conferences go, that's small. Smaller in fact than 360|Flex San Jose was. Seattle has a bit larger capacity since we set the capacity before this change, but all future events will be 360, including speakers.

Why? Because community is important to us, because a conference of 2,000 people has no community feel, because there's no way to meet 2,000 plus people in just a few days. That's why.

What does this mean to you? Buy your 360|Flex Seattle ticket soon, because we may change our mind on that one too. =) Also, remember, there will be no more 360|Flex love until 08 sometime and even then it's only going to have 360 attendees.

Plus, like we mention on this other post, we'll be giving Alumni first dibs on tickets next time. If you're serious about Flex and serious about participating in this growing community, you better sign up and quick.

Bringing the team? Not only do we have the team discount...

For those who are planning to make a department outing to Seattle (there are far worse places for department outings), we know it's a pain in the ass to have to pay by paypal with larger chunks of money. $360.00, not so bad, $360.00 x 4+ that's a lot of coin to run through a credit card or paypal account. So for you, we accept company checks.

If you're bringing 4 or more to the conference, just email info@360flex.com and let us know, we'll hook you up, and I don't mean in the gold tooth with a diamond in the center, but if you want... I know a guy...

Flex User Group Member? In June you could win a free pass to 360|Flex

You read that (rather long) title right. In June, Flex User Groups, around the globe, the globe!! will be raffling off two free passes to 360|Flex Seattle.

This raffle is open to anyone in attendance at their June Flex User Group meeting, so make sure you RSVP for June. In addition to great networking and great speakers, your Flex User Group is now offering you a chance to hang with the best, in Seattle!

Each User Group will hold it's raffle, and send us the names and email addresses of the winners. We in turn will email the winners a registration code for a free pass. It's that simple, and unlike those 'Win this car' booths at the mall, we're legit :) Already bought your ticket? No worries, we'll issue you a refund.

Why are we doing this? 360|Conferences is devoted to building up tech communities and what better way for us to help than to have this raffle. Go find your local Flex User group and get active. Not sure if there's a User Group in your area? Look and see. Maybe you need to start one?

T-Shirts and stickers, what more could you ask for?

Does your laptop look like mine? And no I don't mean a Dell logo in the center, I mean covered in stic kers that represent your interests. We're working on getting Tom converted too.

If you like stickers you'll like this. Thanks to Doug McCune we've got an awesome image that will not only be a sticker for your laptop, but will be on our official 360|Flex t-shirts.

We're going to make enough stickers for everyone so don't worry, plus we're making sure there's more Flex rune stickers from Ted Patrick, and as many other sponsors as would like to provide stickers. Can there ever be too many stickers? I mean really, can there be?

We got yer Adobe, right 'ere!

People are asking, "Where's Adobe?" in regards to sponsorship and support. They're here, you see that "Fx" rune? Who owns that? Adobe. They just wanted to pimp http://flex.org rather than http://adobe.com.

Ted Patrick will be delivering another killer keynote! There's another Adobe party in the mix for Tuesday night. The Flex team will be representing as is evident by the speaker list. And once again, if you stay in the Red Lion Hotel, you can expect some Adobe sponsored goodies awaiting your arrival in the welcome package.

Adobe loves it's community. It's here to support you and make sure you have a good time. They were essential to the success of the first 360|Flex and this time will be no different.

Most of y'all seemed to understand the little logo mix up, but a few of you were confused. We hope this helps clear things up. =)
