360|Flex we ran into Dave Hassoun at local art gallery

Denver has a special night each first Friday of the month where the galleries all remain open into the night, have wine, snacks, and such, and it's a huge ass party. Tom and I decided to hit up First Friday before heading to San Jose for 360|Flex San Jose.

We walked into one of the galleries and almost bumped into Dave Hassoun sipping some red wine, "Hey guys, I didn't know you were in town? Weren't you just in San Jose at a Panera?"

Tom and I exchange a look, I replied, "uh yeah, but now we're here."

We walk back towards where the gallery owner has set up a card table with wine and snacks on it. "So Dave, who do you think should be at your session in San Jose?"

I grab a dixie cup of wine, and some cheese balls, as Dave answered, "Anyone interested in why the sky is blue, water is wet, and the general meaning of life – or at least those interested in Streaming media and the Flash Media Server. Going to be covering some great stuff for managing streaming video from FMS to Flex. Some of it may be a little basic but other stuff will be more advanced and showing some of the great stuff in FMS 3."

"I always wondered why the sky was blue. I also wonder what we'd call an Orange, if it was blue." Tom says, grabbing a a cup of water.

Having procured refreshment and snacks we headed over to what looked like a painting of a 13 armed blue woman with no head. "Why should they come?" I ask, thinking the picture might be upside down.

Dave seems to be having the same trouble as I am, "To see how fast I can talk when I am all hopped up on caffeine and talking about something that I get really excited about. I do suggest bringing a recording device so that you can play it back in slow-mo after if you really want to get everything ;)
Or at least just come if you want to see how the FMS can really add another level of control and functionality to your applications."

We move on to a tryptic depicting, either the rapture or a Krispy Kreme production line. "What's the goal of your session?" I ask.

Nodding his approval of the Krispy rapture, "The goal would be to give some great information, have some fun and have the attendees be able to walk away with a better understanding of some of the really cool features of the powerful streaming media platform that Adobe has to offer."

Tom points at a floor display, so we walk over. It looks like a telescope, that's been covered in some sort of resin or something. The things that pass for art... Tom asks, "What two sessions are you looking forward to most?"

Dave looks around, and pokes the 'art' to see if the resin stuff was hard... it was, "Michael Labriola’s deep dive session on Flex events. I get all excited just thinking about the inner working of the Flex framework and Labriola knows how to bring even the most darkest deepest naughty secrets of it to light. The other session would be Jun Heiders – a fellow RealEyes media badass and his sessions always rock."

"Yeah, I hit up his session at MAX in Chicago, it was incredible." I say as we walk over towards a life sized mason jar of baby heads. "What would you like to tell people about 360|Flex if they're on the fence about attending?"

Dave looks at us, like we were the owners of the baby head jar, "Seriously!!! You can send a whole team for less than the price of MAX and get more in depth advanced sessions than you can find at any conference!! And they still have the free beer! It’s a no brainer – if you have any interest in Flex and want to learn more, and not just the stuff you can pick up in a text book then there is no choice or better price – get your Flex on in style with a 360 twist!!!!"

Dave would know, he's been to every 360|Flex, except the first one (No one is perfect, though I have been to them all, so it's possible), so listen to what he has to say about it! Register Now!
