Tornado hits home of 360|Flex Atlanta

In case you haven't heard or seen, there was a tornado in Atlanta. CNN has some pictures of it here.

360Flex was there a mere few weeks ago. It's sad to see all the damage that's been done to the CNN Center and surrounding area. Luckily, our conference missed the tornado. More importantly though, it seems no one died because of the storm.

I have emails out to our speakers and staff from the area. Hopefully, they all come back good. I'll post updates here. If you were an attendee from ATL though, drop us a comment below and let us know you're alright.

The 360Flex community's hearts and thoughts go out to the folks in Atlanta. It was a definitely a nice host to our little conference.

Update 1:
Leif Wells, local Adobe User Group Manager and 360Flex Atlanta storage center, missed the storm as he's in Costa Rica.

Update 2:
Jesse Warden & Family are outta state as well, so they missed the storm. Jesse still has his gall bladder for a few more days too. :) He also may be the first person to deliver a 360Flex presentation post-show! Stay tuned for details.

Update 3:
Stats sustained only minor damage. The party goes on and the Guitar Hero/Rock Band shows still have a venue!

Update 4: John Mason (FusionLink) and Cameron Childress (who helped us plan) are also safe and sound.

Update 5: Hotel staff reports that there is damage to the hotel, but that no staff were injured at all.

All in all, though a scary event, all folks we know made it out okay! :)

360Flex LinkedIn Group

We created a linkedIn group for all attendees, speakers, sponsors of 360|Flex events. We're only going to 'ok' people who have attended, so the group should be the same great group you met, drank with, hung out with in San Jose, Seattle, Atlanta, Milan, etc.

Honestly, we're not sure what we'll see from this, but it'll be an interesting experiment. I can see the connections made at mixers, and during sessions blossoming into even more networking opportunities for attendees.

Hit up this URL to request membership.

I'm thinking this might be a great way to keep the community vibe at the event going afterward, certainly a great group of people to be connected with.

Let us know what you think.

360Flex reviews

I'm sure there are others, these are the blog entries I found. If I left you out, comment and we'll update the post.

The point of this is so that paste, present, and prospective attendees can see what people had to say; good, bad, and/or indifferent. When someone is deciding if they should attend a 360|Flex, we want them to have as much information as possible! Therefore, here's a quick link page that people can use to find out more about us quickly.

The other reason for linking to these blog entries is to show that we're reading them and taking their feedback seriously. That's just how we roll at 360Conferences.

See you all soon somewhere on the West Coast...

360Flex API Contest Extended!

We're in Milan trying to nail things down for 360|Flex Europe, so we're a bit slow on replying to emails and comments. However, quite a few of you are asking about the API Contest.

The good news is that the API Contest is extended until 360|Flex Europe. This means that if you needed a bit more time to put the finishing touches on your app, you know can. Or if you haven't started yet, get crackin'. Enter the contest here.

We've already seen some pretty neat entries. Feel free to go and vote for them.
