360|Flex where to next

As soon as my uber slow Mac repair shop gives me back my Macbook Pro, I'll get to work on our new header image, and ordering some shirts with the new logo, etc. We didn't give Doug much to work on

but it's sure a fun image. Stickers are already on order, we'll have them for 360|MAX.

360|MAX is gonna rock, we've got a pretty full line up of awesome topics. If you want to get in on the community action, check the schedule and drop in during a blank time, it's open mic :)

See ya in San Francisco!

360MAX raffling 3 copies of Advanced Flex 3!

Our pal Shashank Tiwari has offered 3 copies of his newly released book, Advanced Flex 3, to be raffled off at 360|MAX!

Shashank is a long time friend of 360|Conferences, having sponsored our USB Drives every time we've offered them so far, and speaking at 360|Flex Atlanta. He's working on RIA Revolution as well, which looks incredibly promising. Her'es a little more on it from Shashank,

RIA Revolution is a community site for all things RIA. The site features news, stories, information on events and conferences, podcasts, screen casts and videos to keep you updated about the happenings in the RIA World. (By RIA we mean Flex, AIR, Ajax, Silverlight and JavaFX. Flex and AIR, of course, are great choices and so you have seen and will continue to see a lot of content related to them. Most of the 360 Flex San Jose videos were featured.).

Apart from all the good stuff outlined above, RIA Revolution also intends to do the following:
Roundup: Organize RIA conferences round the year and around the world, both on earth and on the web.
RollCall: Maintain a registry of voices, names, initiatives and efforts that relate to Rich Internet Applications (RIA)
Bootcamp: Run rigorous training and mentoring sessions in many parts of the world
MythBuster: Clarify misunderstandings. In the world of RIA many things are mis-represented and mis-understood
SpotOn: Highlight the fantastic and amazing things in the context of RIA.

Tom and I are very excited to see how RIA Revolution does, and help it in any way we can.

Make sure to stop by 360|MAX for a chance to enter the raffle for a copy of Advanced Flex 3

360|MAX Raffling a Papervision/Flex hands on training

We've lined up some awesome speakers, check 'em out here, and are putting together the master schedule / detail thing right now. That way, before you get to MAX you can see what's going on, when at 360|MAX and plan accordingly. Each presenter is or will be giving us some details on their presentation, so everyone will know what to expect.

We're planning to have yummy, and healthy treats all three days, so if you're needing a sugar boost (the chocolate kind, or the fruit kind) swing by the 360|MAX alcove for a pick-me-up!

We've also got a cool bonus for everyone. We're giving away a free ticket to a wonderful training opp. Vic Cekvenich, is putting together a cool papervision/Flex training course, in San Francisco, just after MAX (the 20th). You'll cover 2 days of hands on labs in 10 hours. Intro to expert. Sounds pretty damn amazing.

More details here.

If you'd like to be in the raffle, leave a comment. We'll select a random comment as the winner!

360MAX pretty much full

Thanks to those who secured some time for 360MAX. We've got a great roster of topics up on the schedule WIKI, take a look. If there's a blank spot, feel free to grab it.

To those with a session, make sure to email us a little write up of your topic, so we can get it printed and available. We want to make that detail available a head of time so people can plan our sessions in with their MAX schedule.

We've got some cool stuff in store for MAX, so if you haven't let us know that you'll stop by, do so. It's a free registration, so we can get an idea of how many people to expect. Our space will have limited seating so if there's a session you want to see, I'd suggest you get there a bit before to make sure you've got a comfy seat.

360Flex is coming to MAX

For those of you under a rock that may not have heard, there are some unconferences going down at MAX. 360|Conferences has been given one and we're calling it 360|MAX.

Most of our speakers have already signed up on the wiki schedule. If you have a Flex topic that's not being covered at MAX, feel free to sign up at our mini-conference. When you do, drop us a line at info@360flex.com so we have your contact info. No email to us and we may delete your session. We just need to make sure you're real and not a bot. :)

If you haven't registered for MAX, do it! If you haven't registered for our unconference, go do that too! You can attend our mini-conf only if you're registered for MAX.

FlashCamp Coming to San Francisco this weekend!

We're not putting this on, but wanted to give a shot out of support!

Adobe FlashCamp is a free event in the "unconference" style, focused on developers creating rich interactive experiences using the new Flash Player 10 features.

This event is inspired by BarCamp, iPhoneDevCamp, and the Hackathon, to develop inspiring content and applications using an advance copy of the Flash Professional CS4 authoring tool.

Attendees will include Flash and Flex developers, mobile developers, UI designers, and testers, all working together over the weekend. Development projects will include both solo and team efforts. While some attendees will wish to work solo during the event, we encourage attendees to team up, based on expertise, to work in ad-hoc project development teams. All attendees should be prepared to work on a development project during the event.

Participants will be able to:

* Learn about new Flash Player features
* Create Flash Player 10 content and applications
* Test and optimize content and applications for Flash Player 10

Of course, there will be a Contest, featuring some great prizes
including — you guessed it — Adobe Creative Suite 4! In addition to
the prizes, winners of our Contest will be featured as part of our
subsequent CS4 launch.

We are hoping to accommodate about 200 people at Adobe Town Hall in
San Francisco. See our Agenda before you register to attend.
