360Flex Indianapolis google map of interest

Our pals, and Diamond level sponsors, Simplified Logic made Tom and I this google map just after our visit to Indy a few months back.

Check it out

It's jam packed with information; hotels, food, points of interest. Feel free to contribute.

Also if you're planning to attend, make sure to get your room secured. The Indianapolis 500 is the week after 360|Flex, and rooms will be hard to find the later you wait.

Take advantage of our special room block at the Crowne Plaza (Conference location) by visiting this site and booking your room. Or call toll free: 1-888-233-9527 and tell them you're with 360Conferences/360|Flex.

Not registered? Better do it fast if you want in on the first 100 tickets price of $360. Register now!

360Flex Indianapolis Tickets on sale now!

In case you missed it or fell and hit your head maybe and forgot, tickets are on sale, RIGHT NOW!

The special MAX attendee price is over, and regular tickets are now on sale. Thanks to those who took advantage of the MAX pricing, we appreciate your business!

For those that don't know, pricing for Indy, is a bit different, maybe revolutionary, but certainly different than past 360|Flexs.

We've broken our block of tickets into 3, it's our take on early bird pricing, minus the arbitrary deadline that has no bearing on anything, really.

the first block of tickets, limited to 100, is on sale right now for $360 When those run out, the next block of tickets becomes available, at $480, our "regular" price. There's 200 tickets in this block. When that 200th (or 300th, depending on how you count them up) sells, the next block goes live, at $550 our final price. This last block is 100 tickets, as well as any at the door sales.

The reason is that we've discovered that people typically wait until the last 3 weeks to register. Easily a full 40% of our ticket sales would fall in the last 30 days. While this is just fine, we want everyone there, it causes trouble for SWAG and food. By charging more for those last folks, we ensure we can purchase additional goods after our initial buy. This way we have enough for everyone!

Register now for $360!

See you in Indianapolis!

360|Flex Sponsors

Would you like to sponsor?

Email us at:
info@360flex.com
Or download the general sponsor packet PDF at:
http://www.360flex.com/downloads/SponsorPacket.pdf

One thing that helps us put on these shows are the sponsors. Without their support, we just wouldn't be able to do 360|Flex. Some not only sponsor financially, but also send speakers and/or provide free giveaways.

Interested in becoming a sponsor? As little as $1K can get you in (and that includes a free ticket!). As you can see, the top spot (Diamond) is already taken, so act fast. Details for all levels can be found here.

Mad props to Simplified Logic for stepping in early and taking the top spot. Indy is their home and we're glad to have them on board.

360MAX Get your BoF on!

If you've ever been to a 360|Flex and taken advantage of our meet the team sessions/BoFs, then you know how cool it is to be in the same room with the people directly responsible for Flex and Flex builder.

At MAX, it's bigger and better. We get a lot of Adobe love, in the form of engineers to speak at 360|Flex and Matt Chotin is always there to take the slings and arrows for the team and to lead the discussion at our meet the team sessions, but MAX will have way more engineers! WAY, that's a quantifiable measure, like metric buttload. So if there's something you're dying to ask the team, some bug you think needs to be higher in the priority list, or just a question on why the SQLite functionality works the way it does, make sure to swing by the Meet the Team BoFs at MAX. They're Monday night!

360Flex next stop: Indianapolis!

It's official! We've selected Indianapolis as our next stop. It's "east coast" time, which for us means east of the Mississippi. :) The show will run May 18 to 20, 2009 at the Crown Plaza Indy. The venue was also the first Union Station in America, which offers up some cool perks we'll blog about later. We'll also be in town during race week, so the city will be all abuzz with activities: some related to 360|Flex and some related to the big race.

We've got a lot of cool stuff in store for everyone. Tom and I have really been focusing on making 360|Flex better for everyone: attendees, speakers and sponsors. We've added some cool sponsorship opportunities, which I think folks will like, but possibly even better is a new pricing structure on registration fees that we're trying out.

We had the team rate vs the non-team rate and it's worked out well for us. However, some people only have a team of 2 or 3, while others had teams of 7. In the past, that meant that the sub-4 numbers didn't qualify and the team of 7 had to buy one team and 3 regular priced tickets. This sort of eliminates that whole mess. If you act fast, you get the discounted rate regardless of how many tickets you buy. There will be three ticket types available, all first come first served.

100 tickets at our classic price of $360.000
200 tickets at our current price of $480.00
100 tickets at new price of $550.00

The reason for the $550.00 is that as we've been looking at our numbers. We realized that our current model had a lot of our attendees registering in under the last 30 days. Unfortunately we have to order just about everything for the conference, well before that: SWAG, food, etc. Previously we'd be stuck with whatever number of things we ordered the first time around and that was that. By upping the charge on the last group of people to register, we'll be able to buy the things we need. Things that then have to be rush ordered and rush shipped, which equates to more expensive hence the bump in price.

See you at 360|Flex Indy!! Feel free to spread the word and put the official logo (smaller version is here) up on your site!

360MAX only two weeks away!

Tom and I are really excited to be participating in MAX, this year! The unconferences are going to be off the hook, and really bring the community to MAX!

If you haven't, make sure to book mark the schedule. It will be the most up to date source of information for 360|MAX! There will be a large sign in our area too, that we'll be marking up as needed to keep it current.

We've got some awesome speakers, all of whom volunteered to speak, all of whom have created a wiki page on the 360|MAX Wiki so you know what their session is all about. It's awesome to see the Flex community doing what it does best. Rising up to share and learn. It didn't take long for our schedule to fill up, which is a testament to the community! If you see a blank spot, feel free to snag it, or just show up during MAX if there's still a blank and come up with a topic.

If you're looking for Randy Troppman's presentation, it had to be moved to the FITC unConference. There was a scheduling problem, with the information we received, and the only solution, was for FITC to adopt Randy :(
We'll be pouring a 40 out for him on Monday.

We've lined up some great sponsors for 360|MAX, so that we can provide a great and comfortable environment for everyone, make sure to drop by, hang out, talk to Tom and I.

Oh yeah and we're doing a BoF on Monday night! I don't know the time slot yet, but if you're curious what Tom and I think about community, how and why we do 360|Flex, or just want to know what Tom thinks of the Lakers or me the Broncos (That's the Denver football team, right?) make sure to drop by. It's gonna be an informal talk on and about community.

See you at MAX!!
